A recent episode of Revolutionary African Perspectives focused on Shaka Shakur’s case and the new documentary, “Across Enemy Lines: Shaka A. Shakur.” Revolutionary African Perspectives is a weekly show on Atlanta’s WRFG 89.3 FM that airs Mondays between 7:00 – 8:00 pm ET.
According to WRFG’s description, the show “features guests ranging from cultural workers, political organizers, authors, and community members covering local, national, and international news. The hosts provide fresh and critical perspectives on the politics affecting the everyday lives of Black/African people.”
One of the show’s hosts, Clare Idehen, interviews Shaka Shakur along with Shaka Shakur Freedom Campaign volunteer Derek Ford, who co-directed “Across Enemy Lines.” They discuss the background of Shaka’s case, his politicization, many of the injustices raised in the documentary, and more.
