The time is finally here! In the midst of our other organizing efforts, over the past year the Shaka Shakur Freedom Campaign has been working on a new, updated documentary about Shaka’s case, political development, and his (and our) struggle for freedom. We are excited to announce that Thursday, December 4, is the worldwide premiere of the film, “Across Enemy Lines: Shaka A. Shakur!”
Across the u.s. and the world, people are organizing watch parties for the premiere. Wherever and whoever you are, whatever your political ideology or background, if you stand for human rights we encourage you to either attend a watch party or organize your own! (Click here to register your event).
Below is the growing list of events open to the public. Shaka is currently back at River North Correctional Facility, which is under a lockdown. But Shaka and all of our comrades behind bars are able to rest easier knowing that we are keeping the fight going. Please join us as we watch the new film together—and let the state know we’re watching them, too!
